This building was made by John Gosney with wood from Ngawhatu psychiatric hospital, Nelson.

Our first eplica Tyree backdrop. Pete Madsen (local artist) copied a backdrop the Tyree brothers used in thei photographic studio.


This is our second replica Tyree backdrop
On an open day the photographic studio is open to
the public. Come and get dressed up in period
costumes and take a photo in front of our back drops.
Tyree Brothers
The Tyree brothers, Fred (1867-1924)  and William (1855-1924) were well known photographers and had a studio in Nelson.
